Wheels & names
Paste a list of names and pick one — or several at once. Picked names can leave the list so nobody is chosen twice.
No account. No tracking. Your lists stay in your browser.
10 names ready. Press Pick — or Space.
One per line.
Paste names one per line (extra spaces and blank lines are cleaned up), choose how many to pick, and press Pick. With Remove names after they're picked on, each picked name leaves the list, so repeated picks work through everyone. Reset restores the original list and clears the history.
Picking several names at once draws them all without repeats, in the order they were drawn. Go fullscreen to show the result to a room.
Every remaining name has the same chance. Several names are drawn as a sample without replacement (a partial Fisher–Yates shuffle over secure random numbers), so no name can appear twice in one pick.
Duplicate names are allowed but flagged: a name listed twice is two entries and twice as likely. Use Remove duplicates if that isn't what you want.
Ten students, pick 3 for a demo: each student has a 3 ÷ 10 = 30% chance of being among the three. With removal on, the next pick of 3 comes from the remaining 7.
Everything happens in this browser tab. Names and choices aren't uploaded, stored or tracked — a share link only exists if you create one, and its contents live after the#in the address, which browsers never send to a server.
